IPTV Smarters Pro: Complete UK Setup Guide (2026)

IPTV Smarters Pro is the app most people mean when they say "IPTV app." It's a free player that turns a login from your provider into a full TV experience — live channels, films, series and a proper now/next guide. The one thing to get straight before anything else: Smarters Pro is a player, not a TV service. On its own it shows you nothing. It needs a subscription to feed it.
This guide covers installing it on the device most UK viewers use — the Amazon Firestick — with the exact Downloader code, the official download, and the login step people most often get wrong. There's a 2026 wrinkle with the newest Firesticks too, so we'll deal with that.
- Smarters Pro is a free player. You still need an active IPTV subscription (an Xtream login) to watch anything.
- On Firestick, install it with the free Downloader app using the code 6468112.
- Log in with Xtream Codes — and make sure the server URL starts with
http://, nothttps://. That one letter is the most common cause of “details wrong”. - You’ll want roughly 10–20 Mbps for smooth playback, more for 4K.
What IPTV Smarters Pro actually is
Smarters Pro is a media player. You hand it your provider's login, it talks to their server, and it lays everything out cleanly: Live TV, Movies, Series and an EPG (the guide showing what's on now and next). It's popular because it's free, it runs on nearly everything, and it stays out of the way. What it is not is a source of channels — install it expecting telly to appear and you'll meet an empty login box. That's by design.
Installing on a Firestick, step by step
The Firestick doesn't carry Smarters Pro in its own store, so you "sideload" it with the free Downloader app. It sounds technical; it's about five minutes.
- From the Fire TV home screen, open Search, type Downloader, and install it.
- Go to Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options. Can't see Developer Options? Open About and click your device name 7 times to unlock it.
- In Developer Options, open Install unknown apps and turn Downloader ON.
- Open Downloader, type the IPTV Smarters Pro code 6468112, press Go, let it download, then press Install.
- Open Smarters Pro — you'll land on the login screen.
That code pulls the official app; if you'd rather grab it directly, the official source is iptvsmarters.com. For the same steps with screenshots and a short video, our install IPTV Smarters on Firestick guide goes slower, and WizTV's own Firestick installation guide walks it through live.
The 2026 Firestick change to watch for
Through 2025–26, the newest Fire TV Stick models began shipping on Amazon's Vega OS, and some of them block sideloading — which means Downloader may not install apps the old way. Most sticks in use are the older Fire OS and work exactly as above. But if your menus look unfamiliar and Downloader won't install, that's almost certainly why; message support and they'll sort an alternative.
Logging in: the part people get wrong
Once Smarters Pro opens, choose Add Playlist (or "Add User"), then always pick Login with Xtream Codes API — never M3U where Xtream is offered. You'll enter three things from the message your provider sent when you subscribed:
- Server URL — and here's the big one: it must start with
http://, nothttps://. That single letter is the number-one reason a correct username and password still says "details wrong". Watch for stray spaces when you paste, too. - Username
- Password
Press Save and your channels, films, series and guide populate within a few seconds. If you want the full picture of why Xtream beats M3U, we've explained Xtream Codes in plain English.
Smarters Pro vs XtremeHD: which free app on Firestick?
Smarters Pro isn't the only free player worth installing on a Firestick. WizTV also offers its own free app, XtremeHD Player. Both are free, both use an Xtream login, and both install through Downloader — the difference is mostly the server setup:
| IPTV Smarters Pro | XtremeHD Player | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost | Free | Free (WizTV's own app) |
| Firestick Downloader code | 6468112 | 5976294 |
| Login | Xtream Codes (you enter the server URL) | Xtream Codes (servers built in — you pick one) |
| Best for | The familiar, universal choice | WizTV subscribers who want it pre-configured |
| One catch | None | Ask support which server to pick — the wrong one causes buffering |
Both are solid. If you like the interface you already know, Smarters Pro is the safe pick; if you're on WizTV and want less to type, XtremeHD has the servers built in.
A note on Smart TVs
If your main screen is a Samsung or LG Smart TV, don't try to use Smarters Pro there — its Smart-TV version is no longer supported and won't work reliably. Use a native Smart TV app instead, which we cover in our Smart IPTV (SIPTV) guide. On Firestick, Android and TV boxes, though, Smarters Pro is a great free option.
Common Smarters Pro problems, and the fixes
- "Details wrong" after login. Almost always the
http://vshttps://issue above, a stray space, or an expired subscription. Fix the URL first. - No channels at all. A mistyped username/password, or a lapsed subscription. Re-enter carefully and confirm it's active.
- App crashes or "has stopped". Clear the app's cache in the Firestick settings, or reinstall. Older sticks with full storage do this a lot.
- Buffering at peak time. Usually the connection or the provider's servers, not the app. Check you've got 10–20 Mbps, use a wired or strong 5GHz connection, and see our fuller list in why IPTV Smarters stops working.
Is Smarters Pro the right player for you?
For most people, yes — free, familiar, does the job. If you want a slicker guide, recording or multiple playlists, there are heavier players worth a look, which we rank in our best IPTV player guide. And if you've got the app but need something dependable to feed it, that's the part WizTV IPTV UK handles — a stable Xtream login and a guide that fills itself in.
Frequently asked questions
What's the Downloader code for IPTV Smarters Pro?
On Firestick it's 6468112. Open the Downloader app, type it, press Go, then Install.
Is IPTV Smarters Pro free?
Yes, the app is free to download and use. You need a separate IPTV subscription to watch anything through it.
Why does IPTV Smarters Pro say my details are wrong?
Nearly always because the server URL starts with https:// instead of http://, or there's a stray space. Fix the URL, and check your subscription is active.
How much internet speed do I need?
Around 10–20 Mbps for smooth streaming, and more if you want 4K or several people are watching at once.
Can I use IPTV Smarters Pro on a Samsung or LG Smart TV?
Not reliably — the Smart-TV version is no longer supported. Use a native Smart TV app instead; on Firestick, Android and TV boxes, Smarters Pro is fine.
